In addition to the winning and Highly Commended entries in Best Education & Training, two other CIG clients managed to make the shortlist: Omega Pharma’s Headlice Advice Pharmacy Training Toolkit and Nutricia Early Life Nutrition’s training on FGIDs.
Omega’s Lyclear training contains two booklets; one focusing on the head lice category, and another that explores possible customer conversations around the Lyclear range. The training provides pharmacists with tools they can use to develop their teams’ expertise on the category and make effective product recommendations.
Nutricia Early Life Nutrition’s resources were inspired by a mystery shopping exercise that revealed that parents were too often turned away from pharmacies when asking for advice from feeding problems. The overall objective of the training package was to address these results and empower pharmacists and pharmacy support staff to play a key role in offering reassurance instead of simply signposting them to their GP or health visitor.
