Cameron appoints Alistair Burt to pharmacy brief

Alistair Burt has replaced Earl Howe as the health minister responsible for pharmacy in David Cameron’s new cabinet. In his new role as Minister of State for Community and Social Care, Burt will also have involvement on issues such as GP contract and out of hours reform and integration of care services.

 

Burt, who has been the Conservative MP for North East Bedfordshire since 2001, has previously been deputy chairman of the Conservative party and junior minister at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
