The Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK (APTUK) has launches the Foundation Pharmacy Framework (FPF) to help pharmacy technicians develop their practice.

Launched at APTUK’s annual conference at Aston University, Birmingham, the FPF is aimed towards pharmacy technicians who are in their first to second years of practice, post registration. The FPF is a tool to support the development of the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed by pharmacy technicians going on to advanced practice roles, such as accuracy checking.

Tess Fern, APTUK president, said: “The APTUK Foundation Pharmacy Framework provides a tremendous opportunity for APTUK members to effectively show others how they are developing their professional practice and their own professionalism.”
