As Director of Learning and Development, Lesley helps oversee the direction and provision of pharmacy training.

Lesley is a community pharmacist with 15 years' experience in the pharmacy education sector. She rejoins the CIG team having held positions at the NPA and the RPS, where she headed up the new RPS Faculty.

Jane Edmonds writes and develops our training projects and programmes. Jane has been a pharmacist for over 25 years and has previously gained retail experience at Boots and independent pharmacies. Jane has previously worked at the National Pharmacy Association and in other senior management positions, before joining CIG Healthcare Partnership in 2008, where she has worked on Boots' 30 Minute Tutor training programme and many bespoke projects, including a number of major POM to P switches.

Jane has a postgraduate certificate in training practice. She is also an NVQ Assessor and an Internal Verifier.

Aniket writes and develops our training projects and programmes. Aniket has extensive experience working in community pharmacy and has won both the Chemist and Druggist New Pharmacist of the Year award and Pharmacy Business Newcomer of the Year award for his achievements within the field.

Prior to this role, Aniket worked at the National Pharmacy Association in training and development for three years and has gained an CIPD Level 3 qualification in Delivering Learning and Development Activities. Aniket joined CIG Healthcare Partnership in 2014.

Lesley has an MA in English Literature and Language and 24 years’ experience as a healthcare writer as well as editing pharmacy publications such as Pharmacy Today, Training Matters, Independent Community Pharmacist, ICP Focus, Future Pharmacist, and Beauty Counter and as group editor of the Cosmetics International newsletter publications.

As projects editor, Emily works on bespoke training materials and Boots 30 Minute Tutor. She was previously editor of Pure Beauty, a B2B magazine for beauty retail staff, where she was responsible for planning, creating and editing content for over nine years.

As editor, Hannah primarily works on Boots 30 Minute Tutor. She has a degree in Human Biology from the University of Birmingham and was previously the commissioning editor of two medical journals – Future Microbiology and Women’s Health. Prior to joining CIG, she worked in healthcare communications, developing programmes across a variety of healthcare areas.

Arthur writes and edits materials for Boots 30 Minute Tutor and bespoke training. He has a degree in English and Philosophy from University College Dublin and worked in trade magazines for public sector audiences before joining CIG Healthcare in 2014.

Frankie Shortland brings her commercial, creative, account management and publishing skills to the development and delivery of our bespoke training projects.

Frankie has 30 years’ experience in pharmacy publishing, previously holding positions such as Group Advertisement Director across a range of pharmacy titles that have included Pharmacy Magazine, Training Matters, C&D, OTC, Community Pharmacy, Pharmacy Today and Beauty Counter.

At CIG, Frankie was part of the Pharmacy Magazine launch team, and had sole commercial responsibility for the launch of CI Plus in 2005 and Boots' 30 Minute Tutor programme in 2006.

Paul has worked at Communications International Group since 2001 and heads up the development of new clients’ requirements for both training and research. At CIG Paul has been publishing director of both P3 and Beauty Magazine as well as launching and running The SMART Awards and The Beauty Awards for several years. Amongst many other initiatives he has also been instrumental in the launch and deployment of Pharmacy KnowledgeBase that sits within pharmacists’ PMR systems and allows Rx companies to display both pharmacist and patient-focused information at the point of dispensing. Prior to this, Paul’s pharmacy experience stretches back to 1990 when he was the original advertisement director for the launch of The Independent Community Pharmacist magazine.

Richard Roe publishes the annual Pharmacy Guide to Infant Feeding and acts as strategic and project consultant with several of CIG’s key partner organisations.

Richard has over 25 years' experience in publishing and has held sales, marketing and management roles. Richard was head of magazines at the Institute of Physics Publishing and ran his own publishing and research business, before joining CIG in 2008.

Julian joined CIG in 2013 to head up CIG Digital; a new division whose remit is to connect brands with end users through compelling digital media applications.

Julian was formerly Director of Media AOL Europe and Development Director Hearst UK.

Lauren is the Account Executive for our bespoke training projects, helping to create tailor-made training and education solutions for clients.

Having recently graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a degree in English Literature, she is excited to have joined the team here at CIG and is keen to develop her publishing skills.
